The June 4 deadline to file the 2023 EEO-1 Component 1 report is just around the corner. Employers required to file the EEO-1 should take this obligation seriously. The EEOC recently initiated litigation against 15 employers who failed to file 2022 EEO-1 reports.
The EEO-1 Component 1 report is a mandatory annual data collection that requires all private sector employers with 100 or more employees and federal contractors with 50 or more employees to submit workforce demographic data, including data by job category and sex and race or ethnicity, to the EEOC. For more information regarding employers’ obligations to file the EEO-1, please see the EEOC website.
